Historical Nonfiction Judge
B. Travis Wright, MPS has a depth of experience related to publishing and history; he’s honored to serve as a historical nonfiction judge of distinguished writing about the American West.
Given Travis’ experience as a published historian of multiple nonfiction works and serving as President of the Grand County Historical Association, he was honored when asked to become a historical nonfiction judge, more formally, a Spur Awards Judge for Western Historical Nonfiction to bestow literary prizes for distinguished writing about the American West. The Spur Awards began in 1953; previous winners include Larry McMurtry for Lonesome Dove and Michael Blake for Dances with Wolves.
