NOTABLE HIGHLIGHTS OF TECHNICAL PROJECTS
B. Travis Wright, MPS leads complex technical and compliance initiatives spanning cloud architecture, cybersecurity governance, and regulated enterprise environments. Selected highlights include:
• Enterprise Security Architecture & Compliance Readiness: Accountable program lead for CMMC Level 2 readiness and independent C3PAO assessment within a defined CUI boundary; validated all 110 NIST SP 800-171 requirements with zero POA&Ms—preserving eligibility for federal contracts valued in the hundreds of millions of dollars. Oversaw control design, documentation, audit coordination, executive reporting, and cross-functional remediation efforts.
• Cloud-First Branch Architecture & Zero-Server Deployments: Designed and deployed fully cloud-managed branch environments using split- and full-tunnel VPN architectures with centralized security policy enforcement. Eliminated on-premise server dependencies, reduced capital expenditure, and materially lowered operational overhead. Built N+2 redundancy models with remote lifecycle management, automated alerting, and firmware governance—removing the need for on-site technical staff while increasing resiliency.
• Enterprise Platform Modernization: Led multi-stage migrations from legacy Microsoft infrastructure (Exchange 2007/2010, WSS 3.0, SharePoint 2010/2013) to Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online, including identity governance, data migration strategy, retention architecture, and security hardening. Reduced infrastructure complexity while improving administrative visibility and compliance posture.
• Operational Intelligence & Service Delivery Optimization: Directed cloud-based ticketing and knowledge systems managing 38,000+ service events. Applied trend analysis—including regression modelling and fault-tree methodologies—to identify systemic failure points and eliminate recurring outages. Re-architected core systems to achieve sustained 100 percent availability of business-critical platforms over a multi-year period.
• Governance, Risk, & Policy Framework Development: Authored and maintained a comprehensive enterprise technology policy and service-level framework exceeding 150 pages, developed in coordination with corporate counsel. Defined enforceable standards across acceptable use, access control, encryption, incident response, data retention, vendor governance, and outsourcing—aligning operational practices with regulatory requirements and contractual obligations.
