NOTABLE HIGHLIGHTS OF TECHNICAL PROJECTS

• ISO/IEC 7498-1:1994 Network Standardization: overhauled layer 1 network devices (security appliance/firewall, SAN/LAN/WAN/DMZ switches, & enterprise wireless) and servers to provide layer 3 and layer 7 administrative visibility of network events
• Branch Office Deployments: 100% cloud-managed branch offices with either split/full-tunnel site-to-site VPN back to HQ, server-less architecture saves tens of thousands of dollars on both CAPEX & OPEX; no onsite personnel are required to manage or troubleshoot equipment; protocol optimization, compression, and CIFS acceleration; N+2 redundancy, all equipment is remotely restartable and self-alerting in the event of failure/issues; firmware updates are done remotely without end-user intervention or assistance
• Major Platform Upgrades including: Exchange 2007 → Exchange 2010 → Exchange Online (Office 365) as well as WSS 3.0 → SharePoint 2010 → SharePoint 2013 → SharePoint Online (Office 365)
• Help Desk & Knowledgebase: maintained a cloud-based system for issue tracking of 38,000+ tickets; organically created hundreds of KB articles based off of ticket trend examinations including multiple regression and fault tree analysis; WordPress-driven systems status page and external company ‘intranet’
• System & Network Availability KPIs: determined and corrected the causes of sustained and lengthy outages of business-critical systems; directly responsible for re-architecting the technology landscape resulting in 100% uptime for more than seven consecutive years
• Comprehensive Technology Policy: created, maintained, updated, and worked extensively with corporate counsel on a 150-page Comprehensive Technology Policy & SLA (inclusive of policies defining acceptable use, network access, data retention, encryption, incident response, outsourcing, and more)
