CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER & GENERAL MANAGER, ROCKIES REGION

National MSP

As Enterprise vCIO, I lead strategic IT oversight for a portfolio that includes publicly traded artificial intelligence and energy companies, billion-dollar enterprises, and tribally owned organizations engaged in federal contracting. My role blends executive-level advising with hands-on management of engineering teams—ensuring that infrastructure, cybersecurity, and operational systems scale with the complexity and ambition of the businesses we support.

I oversee multi-disciplinary technical teams, architect enterprise roadmaps, and guide clients through cloud transformation, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance—including SOC 2 and CMMC Level 2. Most recently, I served as the accountable program lead for an Alaska Native Corporation’s CMMC Level 2 readiness and independent assessment within its defined CUI assessment boundary, partnering with client leadership, cybersecurity, and engineering teams to secure certification through an independent C3PAO on the organization’s first-ever formal assessment, with all 110 NIST SP 800-171 requirements validated and zero POA&Ms—preserving eligibility for federal contracts valued in the hundreds of millions of dollars. Of more than 100,000 DIB entities, fewer than 500 have achieved CMMC Level 2 certification. In engagements with tribally owned entities, this work extends beyond technical conformance to implementing regulatory standards in alignment with organizational purpose, community commitments, cultural heritage, and long-term stewardship—reinforcing trust, resilience, and service.

CHIEF STRATEGY OFFICER, CUSTOMER SUCCESS LEAD, AND PARTNER

Silicon Valley cybersecurity startup

I executed on the CEO’s vision for this cybersecurity startup by remotely developing a go-to-market strategy, conducting market analysis, refining the product narrative, crafting sales and marketing approaches, and cultivating strategic partnerships—including with billion-dollar corporations.

In addition, I advised clients operating under strict confidentiality agreements on security architecture, penetration testing, social engineering mitigation, machine learning applications, threat identification, and vulnerability management—ensuring alignment with domestic and international compliance frameworks, including PCI DSS, CCPA, GDPR, NIST, and ISO standards.

PRINCIPAL INFORMATION SECURITY & SITE RELIABILITY DESIGNER

Front Range-based technology and communications consultancy

I founded this information security, strategy, and communications technology consulting firm to support clients ranging from Silicon Valley startups to Fortune 500 companies.

I’ve led hundreds of technical initiatives, including on-premises and cloud-based virtualization deployments, global rollouts of full-stack Cisco Meraki environments, and advanced Cloudflare configurations. I’ve also served as a trusted evaluator for closed beta and commercial software under strict confidentiality agreements—providing actionable feedback on usability, performance, and security.

Over the years, I’ve managed and coordinated more than a dozen domestic and multinational subcontractors to deliver complex, large-scale solutions with precision and consistency.

DIRECTOR OF TECHNICAL SOLUTIONS (HEAD OF TECHNOLOGY, CTO-EQUIVALENT)

Global workforce management and technology consultancy

In this role, I defined the global IT strategy and built a sustainable technology roadmap that supported the company’s growth into a multimillion-dollar, private equity–backed software firm with a geographically distributed workforce of 220+ users.

By analyzing global trends and identifying cost-saving opportunities, I enhanced financial forecasting, renegotiated vendor agreements, and modernized branch offices with innovative technologies—managing a $1M budget and a dynamic 60-day spending plan. I also led agile implementation of software development initiatives and enterprise-wide cloud migrations, ensuring high availability, scalability, and long-term ROI.

I authored and maintained essential IT documentation—including the Comprehensive Technology Policy, service level agreements (SLAs), hardware inventories, and acceptable use policies—providing both operational clarity and strategic alignment across the enterprise.

Key Achievements:
• Transformed the IT stack into a world-class, globally resilient infrastructure that achieved 100% uptime for over seven consecutive years, with zero malware infections or data loss.
• Delivered significant budget savings through vendor renegotiations and reinvested those funds into cloud platforms, process automation, and infrastructure upgrades.
• Dramatically improved performance of proprietary SaaS applications by analyzing KPIs, resolving bottlenecks, and implementing scalable, cloud-based technologies.
• Stabilized and led the IT function through a confidential acquisition, including preparation of comprehensive due diligence documentation across all technology domains.
